The Joint Planning Team (JPT)* Youth Support Partner (YSP) is a full-time peer support position that works as part of team, which includes a Facilitator and Family Support Partner (FSP). As a peer support, you will use your own life experiences to help guide youth through a process to achieve their goals, pursue healthy life choices, handle adversity, navigate peer pressure, connect with resources, develop natural supports, build community involvement, use their voice, be accountable for their future, and help them to reach their family vision.
Your job will be to provide support to youth in the JPT program by engaging them, prepping for meetings, supporting them during meetings, and assisting with completing their action steps from their individualized plan.
As a JPT YSP, you will have the opportunity to learn skills and earn a credential, which will build your knowledge, resume, and grow as a professional in the social work field.
