About Healthy Minds Alliance
Healthy Minds Alliance is a community-driven initiative addressing the mental health crisis. We utilize evidence-based programs to train community members on how to prevent, detect, and support individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Position Overview
As an AmeriCorps member with Healthy Minds Alliance, you’ll serve as an instructor for host site-identified mental health programs. In this role, you will:
Earn certification in one or more evidence-based programs, such as Mental Health First Aid, QPR, or SafeTALK.
Train community members to recognize and respond to mental health challenges.
Contribute to building a stronger, more informed mental health support network.
What Makes This Opportunity Unique?
This is a national service position through AmeriCorps, requiring a full-time, 10-month commitment. It’s not a traditional job but a chance to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable skills for your career or further education in the health field.
Benefits of Serving with AmeriCorps:
Living Allowance: $21,250 distributed biweekly over 10 months (22 payments).
Education Award: $7,395 upon completing 1,700 service hours, usable for student loans or future education.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals with a passion for mental health advocacy and prevention. Ideal candidates will have:
A bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required).
Permanent U.S. residency.
Public speaking and facilitation skills.
A commitment to lifelong learning and community service.
The ability to pass a criminal background check.
