This position at the Nathan Kline Institute (NKI) involves working within a research enterprise by serving as an integral component of a human research protection program.
The incumbent is required to maintain an understanding of IRB regulations to help ensure the continued success of the NKI IRB. The incumbent is responsible for educating research teams on the proper conduct and ethical treatment of research participants and research data. Responsibilities include assisting with timely processing of protocol submissions, maintaining IRB files, tracking metrics of IRB performance, and coordinating IRB meetings. Job duties also include documentation of IRB minutes per federal guidelines and knowledge and awareness of all guidelines associated with minimal risk research and IRB minutes documentation. The incumbent must also be prepared to interface with research projects conducted under guidelines for clinical research and FDA requirements under the supervision of the IRB director or designee.
This position permits up to 50 % of schedule to be worked remotely.
